Benjamin Alstad has been a musician for most of his life beginning to learn the piano at the age of four. He then learned to play the violin shortly after and in grade three made the switch to study the cello. Having completed his grade 9 RCM examination on the piano and his grade 10 Cello examination in high school, Benjamin went to Memorial University of Newfoundland where he completed a bachelor degree in music. Finding increased passion in the field of music education Benjamin continued to further his studies in music education by completing an Education degree from the University of Alberta in Edmonton. He now resides in North Edmonton where he currently teaches, violin, cello, piano, trumpet, flute, guitar, mandolin, accordion, and bass. Benjamin has had many students complete RCM examinations with excellence and is a highly sought after instrumental instructor in the Edmonton area. Let me help you find your passion.
